Summary/Abstract: This article analizes the way in which Ilina Gregori presents in her book the image/portrait of Emil Cioran. The reader can meet here a new Cioran: the man is regarded from the base and we are invited to see him together with the author. We are also guided how to read the book. If the portrait had been made from other point of view (for example, taking into account the essays Exercises of admiration or Meeting with suiciding), certainly the book would have been different, ilustrating the real Cioran, not this one – kind, merciful, penitently.
