Summary/Abstract: The interrelated dimensions of social, national and supranational identity are closely connected to the consciousness of a social belonging, to the memory associated with this sense of belonging, and to the social representations of the groups and the physical and sociopolitical context in which they are and where they inter-act. Because these dimensions influence expectations for the future and intervene in the construction of the social reality both in the group and in the context, they are also closely connected to their transformations.
