Summary/Abstract: In ensuring public order, preventing and preventing the commission of criminal offenses or misdemeanors, there are various situations in which coercive measures must be used by members of the security forces, which can lead to interference with the physical integrity of the person concerned and personal injury or even death. In most cases, the question then arises as to whether the use of force was justified and proportionate to the circumstances of the case. Such cases also very often provoke a broad debate on the rule of law and respect for human rights. The aim of this article is therefore to address the issue of the use of "lethal farce" by members of the security forces from the point of view of the right to life, as guaranteed by Article 2 of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. (hereinafter "the Convention") and as interpreted by the European Court of Human Rights ("the Court") in its decision - making process.
