Summary/Abstract: In this paper we have dealt with death in literature, trying to read the presence of the phenomenon in the literary work of Mitrush Kuteli, as a representative author of Albanian Modern literature. We have chosen the story Vjeshta e Xheladin Beut to understand and interpreted the author's conception of death and the representation of the phenomenon. The story represents the protagonist who is destined to go not only into the physical ending, but also the spiritual, as a superficial and idolatrous of material world.Our research was focused on the symbiosis between life and death andinversely, as oppositional and inherent phenomena, trying to understand life, death, and the forms this phenomenon takes in the author’s prose. Thus, death in Kutelian literature has been presented to us as fundamental, as fundamental and as essential as life. In the way of communicating with the Kutelian text’s, we have revealed that the philosophical and literary concept of death and the representation of the phenomenon, becomes the distinctive sign of this author. Therefore, the philosophy on the death and death of literary protagonists always marks the authoritative eidos of life and death.
