Summary/Abstract: The civilization of a people is build on real values, that is why they do not have to be forgotten, besides they have to be commemorated so the youth to know the past times’ famous people. Between the main figures of Romanian culture a special place is taken by Dimitrie Ghica Comăneșteanu and Radu R. Rosetti. They both lived on Trotuș Valley and they honor through the courage and self‑devotion wherewith they served their country. Dimitrie Ghica was a leader of Romanian hunting from the second half of the 19th century. The destiny proved to be implacable with general Radu R. Rosetti, wrongfully accused in May 1946. His attitude abundantly demonstrated the qualities which always distinguished him: a hard‑working soldier, brave and devoted to the army and his country. Such people should never be forgotten.
