Summary/Abstract: This article presents the results from the investigations of the textiles found in grave No 192 from Church № 2 cemetery in Drastar (medieval Silistra, Bulgaria), discovered in 1995. In grave cremated individual was found. This unusual practice can be explained with sanitary measures, in archaeologist’s opinion, which have to do with the plague epidemics of the turn of the 14 th century. The carbonized textile remains discovered in the zone of the skull.
