Summary/Abstract: Radicalization is the change of beliefs, ideas and behaviors in order to justify violence against a group, often asking for self-sacrifice in order to demonstrate group membership. It represents a dynamic process, of acquiring the convictions opposed to democracy, in which people with a certain psychological profile are attracted. The present paper aims to identify the reason why a person deprived of liberty is adhering to specific values of radicalization and draws attention to the current lack of tools to identify it. From the desire to understand the complexity of the phenomenon, but also to formulate conclusions that may underpin future steps, the research focused on the specificity of the psychological evaluation in the case of a Romanian inmate.
