Theater therapy in the penitentiary. Impact analysis on the members of the comunity

Summary/Abstract: Theatre therapy involves going through a complex program of specific activities, which involve stimulating the expression of feelings by the beneficiary, which leads to the recognition of human potential in each person and the development of a cultures of dignity and respect. In the case of inmates, theatre develops social skills, skills that contribute to personal development, thus managing to progress, discover and become more human, more empathetic closer to social reality. In this respect, 30 spectators present at the Multiart Festival for inmates were interviewed, an event that brings together artists and actors-inmates bands from the entire prison system, in an attempt to allow the general public to make contact directly with a more difficult reality.
