TRENDS OF THE MIGRATON PHENOMENON IN THE CONTEXT OF ROMANIA’S ADHERRING TO THE SCHENGEN SPACE

Summary/Abstract: The guidelines stated in European programmatic documents and the dynamics of migration flows in the region require a permanent adjustment of national policies related to social realities in Romania and a institutional development to meet the challenges imposed by a proper management of the phenomenon. Managing migration flows is based on the participation of all institutions with competences in this field, through a participatory management and institutional cooperation, at national and international level coordinated by the Ministry of Administration and Interior through the Romanian Immigration Office.
