Summary/Abstract: This article is a review of the Festschrift for Professor Dr. Ulrich Engel, one of the greatest representatives of German linguistics. The individual articles of the Festschrift are presented, starting with the contribution of the director of the Leibniz Institute for German Language, Henning Lobin. The review has a three-part structure corresponding to the three parts of the Festschrift.
