Summary/Abstract: In this article it is analysed how the learning object based on its location may be realized in geography teaching? The questionnaire revealed that most pupils are interested in geography of their birth place and most of them consider that excursions around their homeland are necessary and they would like to travel around Paberžė surroundings in various geographical cognitive trails. Most of the pupils stated that in geography lessons they only seldom discussed about importance of cognition of the homeland. it was concluded that teaching about Paberžė town based on location promotes learning based on location.
