Summary/Abstract: The paper is aimed to present the most important aspects of the dissociative identity disorder, his clinical features and differential diagnosis. Dissociative identity disorder is a rare psychiatric condition with complex, chronic and post-traumatic dissociative psychopathology characterized by impaired of memory, thinking and identity. It differs from other psychiatric disorders mainly by the presence of a continuing, coexistence of relatively consistent and alternating subjectively distinct identities.
