Summary/Abstract: The paper covers the topic of unmanned aerial vehicles in European and international law. Proposed changesand planned new regulations are also included in the overview. After introducing the basic terminology, thearticle tackles the problem of international responsibility and legal collision. Further analysis presents thedivision of legal competencies connected with unmanned aviation in the international legal system. In thiscontext the current status of the EASA consultation process has also been presented. The aim of this processis to deliver new regulations for unmanned aerial vehicles in the European Union. The article summarizesthe current legal status of unmanned aviation, including also ongoing legislation processes.
