Summary/Abstract: Considering the latest increased awareness on the connections that might exist between mostof the neuropsychiatric disorders and the gut microbiota, which is basically formed from themicroorganisms from this particular environment, in this mini-review we will try tosynthesize on the current scarce literature from this area of research, as well as to speculateon the further development and pathophysiological importance of this matter and even itsmetabolic relevance.
