Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to develop idealist teacher scale in order to determine the idealistic teachers' level of idealism. The sample of the study consists of 455 teachers who were randomly selected from the schools affiliated to National Education Ministry in Kahramanmaraş. Cross-validation procedure was applied to measure the construct validity of the scale. In other words, exploratory factor analysis was applied to the first part of the study group (n= 228) and confirmatory factor analysis was applied to the other part (n = 227). As a result of exploratory factor analysis, it was found that KMO value was .93 and Barnett Test (p < .05) was significant, and this situation was found to be compatible with exploratory factor analysis. The explained variance of the scale, unidimensioal, was found to be 61.82%. Confirmatory factor analysis supports this situation (χ² / sd = 1.95; CFI = .91; TLI = .91; RMSEA = .05; SRMR = .06). The reliability of the scale calculated by Cronbach Alpha was found to be .88. These findings show both validity and reliability of the developed scale.
