Summary/Abstract: Compassion is one of the positive feelings focused on positive psychology. When the concept of compassion is considered in the context of positive psychology, it can be said that compassion may be related to positive situations such as happiness and good social relations. It is also stated that compassion may be protective against some negative feelings such as anxiety, fear and anger. In other words, it can be said that the sense of compassion is important and effective at developing interpersonal relations and it is beneficial for other people. In this study, the concept of compassion in positive psychology context, the conceptual meaning of compassion and its relation to similar concepts were addressed. Also, concepts such as compassion fatigue, fear of compassion and self-compassion have been addressed, and studies related to the topic were reported. Moreover, the information about Compassion-Focused Therapy, which is one of the compassion-based interventions, and the studies related to the Therapy have been mentioned. Finally, in the context of the related literature, a general evaluation of compassion and Compassion-Focused Therapy has been made.
