Summary/Abstract: The so called „Christus Vivit” apostolic exhortation of Pope Francis linking to the updating objective (actualizing goal) of the Second Vatican Council marks in such way the path of pastoral care for young people, that although it is based on tradition, it is outlined to be adaptive to new situations. Therefore, illuminated by the signs of the times, it shows the way of the outreaching pastoral care. Based on this recognition, in the present study we attempt to illuminate the church’s teaching to youth in the documents of The Second Vatican Council, in the speeches of Pope Francis to them, and in the apostolic exhortation in question.
