Concept of Teacher and Their Social Role

Summary/Abstract: The presented article summarizes the selected current knowledge from the field of pedagogy with focus on the concept of the teacher and their social pedagogical role. The main aim of the paper is to carry out a theoretical analysis of the concept of the teacher, the teacher’s typology and their social roles. In the meta-analysis it has been found that the professional group of teachers is very differentiated as well as the understanding of the concept of the teacher. Furthermore, it has been found that the profession of the teacher includes many social roles that the teacher has to represent and in this context we can classify the teaching profession as one that places high demands on a man.
