Summary/Abstract: Since the half of the XVIII century history as a subject of teaching in Piarists’ schools started to be important. Subjects for pupils showed the necessity of reforms in country as an answer to historical events. The knowledge was acquired from books. Conventual legislation of Piarists recommended broad selection of reading for research of the past. The aim of this article is to show historical works collected in the library of the College of Piarists in Wieluń at the beginning of XIX century. It was possible due to 2 catalogues from 1809 and 1821 that we can now find in the Archive of the Convent of Piarists in Cracow.
