I send my warmest regards from… The Correspondence on Postcards from the Collections of the Diocesan Library in Sandomierz

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents selected postcards from the archives of the Diocesan Library in Sandomierz, with a focus on the content of the correspondence. It aims to signal the existence of this interesting and so far unexplored collection. A brief presentation of the postcards collection, a concise history of a postcard as a form of correspondence, as well as selected fragments of messages sent on postcards are discussed. The messages chosen for the analysis refer, among others, to the phenomenon of collecting postcards, the functioning of postal services, personal reports from the journeys, descriptions of health condition as well as to the political and social situation.
