Ways and Methods of Providing Library Resources – the Case of the Local Lending Department and the Branch Office of the Main Library of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw

Summary/Abstract: Academic libraries are a special space, not only because of the type of users, but also because of their needs, which are subject to constant changes. The library is an important part of the structure of the university by supporting individuals in conducting scientific research and improving the quality of education. Service of users through sharing collections in traditional and electronic form is one of the basic services in the library and information system. Modern technologies allow for the introduction of solutions aimed at improving access to sources of knowledge and accelerating the implementation of library services towards greater user satisfaction. The activity of the Local Lending Department, the Interlibrary Loan Department, the Main Library Branch on the campus at Wóycickiego Street and the Warsaw Borrowing System BiblioWawa contributes to increasing the level of services provided and improving the quality of education.
