Summary/Abstract: The present work aims to analyze, from a historical perspective, the more than popular story of Sindbad the Sailor, located in the narrative piece, The One Thousand and One Nights. The axes of the analysis will be divided into three theoretical categories: identity/otherness, time, and space. With this kind of magnifying glass, we will try to understand not only the historical background of the work itself but also, the society in which it was created and shaped it.
