Summary/Abstract: The article considers the paradigm of the personal and possessive pronouns in the dialect of the village of Volak in the area of Drama, as compared to Old Bulgarian and the contemporary Bulgarian literatury language. The aim is to reveal the trends of development in the pronoun system. The analysis of the paradigm of the personal pronouns delimits two sub-systems: a) the sub-system of the full forms in which we find the opposition /nominative/-/general oblique-agglomerative/ case; b) the sub-system of the concise forms, which standing in opposition to the nominative forms build with them a three-member opposition: /nominative/-/genitive-accusative/ dative/ case. No full forms of the reflexive personal pronoun have developed in the dialect under scrutiny.
