Summary/Abstract: One of the reasons for various abnormalities in physical development and children's health is the lack of motor activity, volume of which decreases every year. The article analyzes the research of this problem in the scientific literature. Thus, in modern scientific studies it was emphasized that one of the ways of expanding of school children motor activity was not only the means and methods that contribute to the psycho-emotional improvement of the motivational desire of adolescents to engage in physical education, as envisaged by the program of a comprehensive educational institution, but also their stimulation and encouragement for active participation in any sporting events during physical education lessons. It is fundamentally important distinguishing fact between the emotional desire of pupils to engage in various types of physical activities and functional capabilities of their body, especially the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. A promising research is the study of motivational aspirations of adolescents with reduced functional capacities for swimming exercises at the extracurricular time.
