Summary/Abstract: It has been almost ten years that Anikó Bodor, a prominent researcher of Hungarian folk music in Vojvodina and one of the dominant figures of the folk music movement is not among us. In memory of her, the Durindó and Gyöngyösbokréta Festival Councils established a folk music award in 2011, which has been awarded every year since then. This writing is also a tribute to the memory of Anikó Bodor, and it is also an opportunity for those interested in the half-melodies in the folk songs of Vojvodina to become acquainted with them. Semi-melodies are often found in Hungarian folk music. Their perceptions have changed over time: at first, these reduced melodies were considered to be degraded versions; today, some semi-melodies are considered to have preceded the four melody-lines and may have been the original version. It is important for a folk music researcher to make the right decision for a particular melody before publishing it: does this version contribute to enriching our traditions, does it have a remarkable detail that is important in some way? Can it reach the audience in the original version or maybe supplemented? The practice of Anikó Bodor’s handling of half-melodies should be exemplary: she always rejected the worthless and published the supplemented valuable version
