Summary/Abstract: The article specifies the number of the books from Osman Pazvantoğlu (d. 1807) library in Vidin sent to Istanbul in 1888 according to the decision of Bulgarian-Turkish Commission, and the place of their preservation nowadays – in “Bayazit“ library. According to the List of books prepared by the Turkish representative Mahmud Nedim bey, their number is 2025 volumes. The article presents also new documents found in Central State Archives in Sofia concerning the demands of Ottoman Ministry of Education to obtain the books of Vidin and the answers of Bulgarian officials.
