Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The aim of this study is to examine the mediating role of organizational identification in the impact of organizational constraints on task performance and contextual performance. Design/methodology/approach – The research was carried out by collecting data from 592 graduates from universities working in public institutions in Ankara. SPSS and SmartPLS programs were used in the analysis of the data. Structural equation modeling method was used to test the hypotheses. Findings – According to the findings, organizational constraints do not have a significant effect on perceived task performance and contextual performance. However, organizational constraints affect organizational identification negatively and significantly. Organizational identification also affects task performance and contextual performance positively and significantly.
