A picture of the life of the Silesian peasantry in the light of the town urbger of the village of Ciepłowody from 1788.

Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to depict the everyday life of the Silesian peasantry in the second half of the 18th century, in the light of the village planner of the village of Ciepłowody.This document was created as a result of the policy of the King of Prussia Frederick II the Great in 1788. Detailed information on the relationship between the owner of the local property - A.K. von Schweinichen and the dwellers inhabiting Ciepłowody, allow for the reconstruction of the social structure of the then village and the duties of peasants for the court.Thus, the picture of everyday life of peasants, their activities, functions, duties is drawn here,for which we can see the cultural landscape of the Silesian village, created inter alia by the field names used by former residents(German Flurnamen).
