Summary/Abstract: Our study topic consists of stone axes recovered from the Roman layer during the detection-sounding excavations made by Konuralp Museum in parcel 1464, Köprübaşı Mevkii of Yörükler Village in Düzce Province Central District. In this study, elemental content of stone axes was investigated with P-XRF which is a non-destructive method. According to the findings, it was found that the stone axes found in the Roman layer show similar characteristics to the early stone axes. During the excavations in the ancient cities, the discovery of stone axes used dated to prehistoric ages was seen before. Most of these tools were found during excavations and surveys, and they also entered museums by means of purchase.
