The role and importance of information for visualizing the battlefield

Summary/Abstract: The battlefield visualization is considered a key component of success in military operations. In order to have an advantage over the enemy, combat soldiers should understand surrounding situations and react quickly, as required. At any moment, soldiers need to know where they are, who their targets are, and where those targets are located. To achieve this, the military must get a good and real “battlefield visualization” which is based, primarily, on intelligence. The objective of battlefield visualization is to provide combat soldiers with a tactical advantage by enabling complete situational awareness.
