Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this study (based on the results of my master's thesis) was to check how two regional portals that are most popular in Lower Silesia (Gazeta Wrocławska and Gazeta Wyborcza Wrocław) show Ukrainians who come to this region in large numbers. It was analyzed what press releases related to this topic appear on the aforementioned portals. The discussed articles were divided into several basic thematic categories and qualified to key topos. The author also calculated the average number of words per article and the ratio of texts building a positive image of Ukrainians to those that create their negative image. Content analysis was used as the methodology, and the research material covered all journalistic texts published on both portals under the tag "Ukrainian" in the years 2006-2018. The research results confirmed the differences in the images of immigrants propagated by both portals. The texts of journalists GW Wrocław were generally assessed as more subdued, often enriched with expert comments. Their headlines were generally not tabloid. To sum up, it turned out that in light of 202 articles qualified for the research corps, the picture of Ukrainians emerging from regional media is, in principle, positive, although the two portals differ in their dominant narrative.
