Summary/Abstract: The study aimed at demonstrating the Islamic Sharia's interest in the environment in its jurisprudential and economic dimensions, and its keenness on the nation's capabilities and resources. The study focused on the economic dimension of the Islamic directives and their impact on the protection of resources and the capabilities of the nation to achieve the preservation of the environment and benefit from them and access to the use of their capabilities without disregard and no large and no waste of money and self-harm or others or the environment. The study focused on the Qur'anic texts, the purified Sunnah and the relevant jurisprudential views, which showed that the principles of Islam and its legislation urges attention to the environment and care for it to achieve economic and social development.
