Summary/Abstract: 7 countries are left behind Yugoslavia, a country that was the scene of internal conflicts following the end of the Cold War. The common values, experiences and memories built during the Yugoslav era continue to exist in the collective memory of those living in these countries. The freedom of movement provided with the red passport that everybody held, welfare level represented by the pictures of miners and workers on the banknotes and the some different examples represent these values. However, the wars and the traumas in the 1990s caused great injuries in the collective memory of the Yugoslav societies However, when the first period of shocks were overcome, a longing began to be heard towards the Yugoslav values. The longing for these past values, named as Yugo-nostalgia, is more often manifested as a reaction to being dissatisfied with the current situation. In this article, three documentary films from the children of Serb-Croat common families - a not so common family even during the Socialist Yugoslavia - will be examined. The first of these films is Moji Prijatelji (My Friends, Lidija Zelović - 2006), which includes traumas but contains more nostalgic elements. The second film examined Moj Vlastiti Rat (My Personal War, Lidija Zelović - 2015), is a movie where Zelović evaluates the traumatic events through her life and performs a recovery attempt in the post-traumatic process. The third film examined is Pismo Ocu (Letter to Dad, Srđan Keča - 2011), where he tells the traumas through his family.
