Summary/Abstract: With industrialization, the image of a world that causes the destruction of human life into material power and collapses in the name of an extreme rhythm has been gained to the individual. The age of enlightenment against the rigid and dogmatic world of the Middle Ages has begun to take a place in social life and declares that human beings are dependent on the experts who will transform their body in the way of becoming a perfect individual. In this new process, digital environments that eliminate temporal and spatial constraints undertake the showcase of bodies that have been the work of perfectness as a result of the extreme rationalization of everyday life. With the emergence of social media, there have been changes in shaping practices. The main reason for these changes is that online media technologies play a central role in enabling a magical desire to be admired. In this context, the aim of the study is to analyze through the bodies how the capitalist mentality imposing the ideal of appreciation occurs in social media. In the study, samples selected from fitness programs with more than 200 thousand followers in instagram were examined by content analysis method and visual research method. As a result of this study, it is thought that even high-performance sports content, where pleasure and pain are combined in practice, are moving away from the aim of social media and supporting the perfectable body project of modern society.
