Summary/Abstract: The study explores the influence of the leader-member exchange in the workplace on the employee’s willingness to exhibit organisational citizenship behaviour. The study’s population comprised 364 staff of Tuyil Pharmaceutical Industry, Kwara, Nigeria. Taro Yamane was used to determine a scientific sample size of 191 respondents. The findings show the significant association between the high-quality leader-member exchange and altruism, civic virtue, which implies that the employees have faith in one another and are willing to help coworkers in case of work-related issues because of a good quality relationship. The weak relationship exists between leader-member and it affects employees’ tolerance for the inevitable inconveniences associated with the work without complaining in conscientiousness, courtesy and sportsmanship variables. Supervisors and subordinates should be educated on the need and benefit of establishing and maintaining high-quality LMX
