Summary/Abstract: The study presents the problem of the scale and causes of road accidents in Poland. Users’ opinions on the condition of roads as well as the need to improve them were also recognized. It was found that the direct impact of the condition of the infrastructure on the number of accidents was small, the imprudence and bravado of traffic participants largely contributes to the poor security situation we face in Poland.
