Summary/Abstract: The article presents basic issues related to autonomous truck vehicles. Possible scenarios for their implementation were discussed. The main areas requiring changes are indicated, which constitute a significant barrier to the development of autonomous heavy-duty vehicles and the socio-economic benefits they can derive from their application.
