Summary/Abstract: The article presents issues related to maintaining level of production by outsourcing part of the production activities of the company, consisting in the use of temporary workers. The main objective of the article was to assess the profitability of engaging employees from third-party companies, at the workers’ positions (electrician, mechanic, pneumatic), in the conditions of uneven load of the production plant with projects to be implemented. To determine the differences resulting from the form of employment, the costs of remuneration, absenteeism, administration or the period of notice were taken into account in the calculation. The results of the conducted research have shown that the use of external resources, at fluctuations in the burden of the enterprise, is profitable.
