THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING NATIONAL TOURISM

Summary/Abstract: „Tourism is relaxing and enriches spiritual – it broadens your horizons and bring people together from all over the world. Tourism products are the calling card of a country. What is more, tourism is a booming industry worldwide. We in Romania also want to further strengthen the importance of tourism as an economic factor. Meanwhile, tourism is facing major challenges: demographic change modifies the structure of customers tourist markets, climate change affects the attractiveness of destinations and globalization has led to intense competition among travel destinations worldwide. Given these challenges, the tourism industry requires the most favorable environment in order to develop. Must attract new customers and existing ones loyal to his modern and appealing products. The Government considers that a greater involvement is needed from providers of tourism services in terms of quality, training, and marketing infrastructure in order to maintain the competitiveness of Romania as a travel destination.”
