Summary/Abstract: This article proposes a non-human hauntology, which would like to claim the previously neglected categories of non-human death, melancholy, mourning as well as material traces and residues. The author claims that the category of the specter arising directly from deconstruction perfectly describes and explains the destructive changes and dynamic transformations occurring in modern nature-cultures. For too long, the concept of the spectrum has justified the nostalgic dimension of human culture and explained its predilection for returns and the impossibility of parting with the past. In this article, this category is developed by the author in the contexts of non-human death, toxicity, the eerie, symbiosis and inheritance, dark ecology/hyper-objects, and new materialisms.
