Summary/Abstract: The article demonstrates the presence of the contemporary assumptions of integral pedagogics in Ludwika Jeleńska’s (1885-1961) didactic postulates. Those reflections tie in with historical pedagogical research which incorporates the method of analysis and critique of sources. In the first point, the concept of ‘integral pedagogics’ is operationalised. In the second point, the presence of Jeleńska’s didactic thought in contemporary pedagogical literature is shown. In the third point, the results of an analysis of Jeleńska’s didactics in the perspective of the contemporary assumptions of integral pedagogics are discussed. Those results justify the conclusion that Jeleńska’s descriptions of a Polish teacher’s didactic work in the interwar period and after World War II contain – despite numerous social, cultural, economic and political determinant factors – the postulates of integral education and integral pedagogics that were clearly formulated in the 21st century.
