Summary/Abstract: Many interesting and valuable studies describes controversial relations between Poles and Ukrainians in the 20th century. Some Polish historians focus their research on the issue of the Polish-Ukrainian war of 1918–1919. The most famous episode were the fights for Lviv in November 1918. Damian Karol Markowski, the author of a few books about the fate of the Eastern Borderlands during World War II and the first post-war years, joined the group of researchers of the mentioned topic. The aim of the review is to evaluate his new study about the fights for Lviv in November 1918.
