Summary/Abstract: The overall goal in medicine is prevention, but in dentistry, due to the inefficiency of prophylactic and therapeutic methods owing to various factors and reasons, we find ourselves again in the restorative period. Full edentulous is perhaps the most mutilating pathological state of the stomatognathic system because it disrupts all functions, with consequences for the entire organism. For this reason the ultimate goal of prosthetics is improving the patients' quality of life through the rehabilitation of the stomatognathic system functions and aesthetic restorations.
