Summary/Abstract: This is a response to Marcin Kochanowski's polemics (On links between literature and philosophy on the example of Ivan Karamazov) with my paper (The boundary of philosophy. The metaphor in philosophy as exemplified by Józef Tischner’s language) elaborating on the role of the metaphor in formulating philosophical theses and in defining the difference between philosophy and literature.
