Summary/Abstract: The article reviews various cultural classifications and typologies (concept of G. Hofstede, F. Trompenaars, R. R. Gesteland, Ch. Hampden-Turner, E. T. Hall). An attempt was also made to determine the impact of cultural conditions on the economic sphere and identify the economic aspects of intercultural communication. Cultural determinants influence the functioning of economic and social institutions, creating a specific socio-economic order and order. Economic development, on the other hand, determines the cultural development of society, also indirectly affecting economic well-being and improving the living conditions of individuals. The need for intercultural communication is particularly evident in the conditions of economic globalization and related processes of unification of markets, unification of products, elimination of barriers in international trade and expansion of global corporations and corporations. The cultural dimension of globalization is connected with the diffusion, assimilation and mixing of cultural patterns, especially in the sphere of consumption. Globalization is accompanied by the opposite to it location which is connected with locality, particularity and fragmentation, which together create anti-globalization. Contemporary conditions imply various forms of intercultural communication: cross-cultural, intercultural, international and global.
