Summary/Abstract: The focus of analyses undertaken in the article is on the missionary formation of students in grades V-VIII of primary school and various types of secondary schools. The issues are presented in terms of Core Curriculum of Catechesis of the Catholic Church in Poland (2018) and Roman Catholic Religion Curriculum in Kindergartens and Schools (2018). First the understanding of the term “missionary formation of youth” was introduced. Then, attention was drawn to the need to support young people in discovering Christian commitments – also responsibility for the missionary activity of the Church. Relying on the assessment of the youth missionary formation proposal, several pastoral postulates were formulated: the need for frequent undertaking topics related to the missionary activity of the Church; the necessity to inform lay people about missionary voluntary service; the need for upbringing to pray for missions and the involvement of young people in the missionary initiatives of the Church.
