Summary/Abstract: The States are no longer capable of facing individually the effect of the mutations that occurred in the geo-political and military area, so their entry into coalitions made for the maintenance of security represents the quintessence of the rules applicable in the law-based State and of the legal order which civilized societies are based on. In the equation of power games, the international organizations and alliances – established for military purposes inclusively – play a major role in the fight against risks affecting the security of humanity, in the light of the ideals and reasons taken into consideration upon their establishment, bearing in mind the fact that the most redoubtable “weapon” is cooperation at all levels and in all areas. The same principles are also applied to the activity of UNO, NATO, EU, and OSCE of which interventions in the military affairs reflect their capability to improve their arsenal view of the lessons learned throughout history and to adapt themselves to the new forms of the present wars having also as protagonists, the irregular armies of some non-state political entities whose behavior in the international relations field is continuously surprising.
