Summary/Abstract: In this paper I will present a brief analysis of some essential issues regarding the theoretical framework of international security taking into account the patterns advanced for the international balance of power (unipolar, multipolar etc.) leading our analysis towards a general perspective on the specific elements involved in various international security patterns.
