Summary/Abstract: The Catholic education is an element of the Catholic Church’s mission in the world. It is well regulated by canon law. The Catholic scholar reflection on the Catholic education contains many publications and it keeps growing. The aim of the article is to give general knowledge about the Catholic schools in the context of Poland and Polish law which gives general frames for the Catholic schools. As a conclusion, although, the Catholic educational institutions have wide legal possibilities to be founded and developed, they unfortunately constitute very insignificant proportion of the schools in Poland.
