Simulation of the process of replenishment of cash at ATMs

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the most important issues concerning the management of ATM network. The basis of the study were Euronet ATMs, located in the Małopolskie and Podkarpackie voivodships. The empirical part of the article is based on a time series of withdrawals from the ATMs in the period from January 2008 to December 2012. The study shows that the most important factor affecting the amount of management costs in the analyzed ATM network is the time and the size of withdrawals. The main results and conclusions are based on a linear model defined in this study. The authors present the impact of the time choice and the withdrawal amount for the costs of operating ATMs and indicate how you can reduce the cost of managing ATM.
